Bristol Urban Portrait Shoot with Imogen

Last week I did a super quick shoot in Bristol with Imogen.

I wanted to challenge myself to see what I could do with one look in one location over the duration of an hours shoot.

For the theme I decided to go with an urban portrait shoot and chose to do it at the bottom of Gloucester Road in an underpass that had a lot of graffiti.

Gear wise I used my trusty Sony A7III with my Canon 16-35mm f2.8 lens and my favourite Sigma 85mm f1.4 ART lens. For the lighting I used one Pika200 flash unit inside a 95cm Octabox.

I made use of the high speed sync feature on the Pika200 flash unit to really cut out the ambient light so I could use the octabox as my key light to create a soft but dramatic look to the images.

Below are some of the shots I ended up with from the shoot.
