Studio Shoot with Maria
I had the pleasure of working with Maria at the tail end of April, not long after the UK Calendar Girls event I shot.
I'd noticed Maria on the website Purpleport, that I often use to source new talent to work with and after seeing her portfolio, I set about arranging a studio shoot with her and we agreed to shoot some test shots.
The good thing about test shoots is that it allows both myself and the model a lot of flexibility to explore ideas and concepts without the pressure of having to nail a specific shot.
Maria turned up with a good selection of outfits and her ability to pose without direction was a fantastic asset, leaving me to come up with different lighting setups to achieve a range of looks.
For this shoot I shot with the Sony A7RIII with the 24-70mm f2.8 G Master lens and used a couple of Elinchrom D-Lite RX4 Heads with a variety of modifiers to achieve the end results.
Here's a couple of final images from the shoot, including one of my most successful portraits to date on Purpleport...
Thank you Maria for being an excellent model on the day!
